Our homeowners were thrilled to find this private, single-level Portland home in this exclusive 55 and older residential community as they transitioned into the next phase of their lives. The home had the potential to meet all their needs, but the path to arriving at it needed to be clarified. A referral from a friend led to a collaboration with RR Chandler and interior design firm OC Interiors. A redesign of the house’s main living areas was established to open the space up into connected but defined areas for entertaining. OC Interiors and the homeowners designed an intelligent, airy, and modern floor plan that emphasized the features that initially attracted them to this home.
The highlights of this sleek renovation are European frameless cabinets with modern flat panel doors and drawer fronts. A large island with waterfall marble countertops anchors this sophisticated but simple kitchen. In addition, this kitchen/great room space also features a super clean built-in entertainment center that compliments the modern updates featured throughout the house.
Finally, the primary suite was opened up, featuring book-matched marble tile and a large free-standing tub.
We enjoyed our collaboration on this project and are happy to help the new homeowners transition into this next phase of life!
