The owner of this beautiful home built in 2007 came to us with plans for a cosmetic (link content article) renovation. Unfortunately, as with many projects, what started simply became a full-blown renovation that took an already impressive home and transformed it into the homeowner’s dream home. The project started with a base of white-washed Duchateau Wide Plank flooring throughout the 7500+ sq. ft home. Custom-built, high-gloss flat panel cabinets were installed in the open kitchen, anchored by a huge island that overlooks a great elegant room with spectacular views of the west slope of Portland Southwest Hills. On the same floor, a wall was removed to create his & her office that is beautiful and incredibly functional. The primary suite was enlarged, and the shower and floating vanity were made of book-matched thin porcelain slabs. It was an elegant touch for this private oasis that allows for relaxing downtime. As you move through the rest of the house, the entirety of the home’s interior spaces was painted with Benjamin Moore Simply White which complimented the white-washed floors. Four more bathrooms received complete renovations, each reflecting the homeowners’ sophisticated modern style. This home was an incredible re-imagination and is an astonishing example of how just changing materials can completely re-invent any home!
